Deep Thoughts

Before I make a blog later today, I grace my readers with Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.  It's a randomly generated link, so each time you go there, it'll be a different one.

DEEP THOUGHTS  by Jack Handy.

This series was originally created by comedian Jack Handy, most notably of Saturday Night Live fame from 1991 to 1998 (a sort of Renaissance for SNL at a time including Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers and such).  The show was introduced by the now late "straight man" Phil Hartman

A few of Jack's earliest works include:

  • If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.
  • The crows seemed to be calling his name, thought Caw.

Jack's written a few books and has done fairly well for himself, but not overly so.  The comedy touches on the British "absurdity" and contrasting theme, which I love.

  My favorite:

Doug Henning: "Reality is Illusion and Illusion is Reality!  Thank youuuuu!"
