War on Ebola

Apparently this is happening...

(Reuters) - Obama announced on Tuesday that it would send 3,000 troops to help tackle the Ebola outbreak as part of a ramped-up response including a major deployment in Liberia, the country where the epidemic is spiraling fastest out of control.

Um.. so.. the War on Ebola?  So, he's pretty much putting a death-sentence on at least 1500 troops minimum, as there's a 50% survival rate at-best right now.  Military members are pretty loyal to the United States.  I know, because I am a 15-year veteran of the USAF and have been in some unsavory places, but.. can he just send troops to their death like that?  Certainly, there's more information?

I did some more research and it seems troops are being sent to Liberia (a US ally in Africa) to help build some hospitals and 10% of the military sent will be in the medical field, so there's something I guess. 

For those military wives and mothers that voted for Obama, you've sentenced your husbands and sons to a death-sentence.  Good job.  I insist we revoke the 19th Amendment!  All in-favor?

Still, isn't this Liberia's issue?  I don't see other countries opening hospitals in the US for hepatitis or HIV or worse-still, countries putting WIFI towers in impoverished regions without internet service!

Currently, 20% of US citizens still do not have internet service!  Shouldn't we be focusing on that?!
